SECURITY

Security is part of every practice session.

Learn how InterviewUp approaches product security, what you can do to protect your account, and how to report a concern.

1. Our security approach

InterviewUp is designed with security and privacy in mind. Our approach focuses on reducing unnecessary access, protecting information during normal use, and responding thoughtfully when something needs attention.

Security measures evolve with the product, the information involved, and the risks we identify. No online service can promise absolute security, so we also make it easy for people to report concerns.

  • Access is considered on a role and need-to-know basis.
  • We aim to use secure development and operational practices as the product changes.
  • We review signals that can help identify misuse, technical issues, or unusual account activity.
  • We work to limit the collection and exposure of personal information to what a feature needs.

2. How to protect your account

Your account is safer when you take a few practical steps. Use a unique password, sign out of shared devices, and treat unexpected requests for your details with caution.

  • Use a strong, unique password that you do not reuse on other services.
  • Do not share one-time codes, passwords, or account recovery details with anyone.
  • Review uploaded files and free-text answers before submitting them, especially on a shared device.
  • Contact us promptly if you notice activity you do not recognise.

3. Handling your information

InterviewUp’s Privacy Policy explains the categories of information the Services may process and the choices that may be available to you. It also explains how to ask a privacy question or make a data-related request.

For interview practice and resume review, share only information that is relevant to your preparation. Do not include passwords, payment card details, government identifiers, or another person’s private information unless a feature specifically requires it and you are permitted to provide it.

Privacy questions

For data access, correction, deletion, or cookie questions, use the Privacy Policy contact path so your request can be handled appropriately.

4. Report a security concern

If you believe you have found a security issue, please contact us with a clear description of what you observed, when it happened, and how we can reproduce it. Do not include passwords or sensitive account information in your first message.

Please avoid public disclosure while we assess a reported issue. This gives us an opportunity to investigate and reduce any potential risk to people using the Services.

5. Security updates

We may update this page as the product, our practices, or the way we communicate about security evolves. The date at the top of this page shows when this information was last refreshed.
