INTERVIEW PROCESS
The number and order of rounds can vary by team, level, and location. Use this as a preparation map, not a guarantee.
How to prepare: An informal 20-30 minute call with a Meta recruiter. No technical questions here; the focus is on your background, motivation, career trajectory, and initial fit with Meta's culture (Move Fast, Be Bold, Focus on Impact).
How to prepare: A proctored online coding test with algorithmic problems to be solved within a fixed time window, used to filter candidates before the phone screen.
How to prepare: A 45-minute live coding round conducted over video call, typically covering one or two data structures and algorithms problems with an emphasis on clean, working code and clear communication.
How to prepare: A data structures and algorithms round. Some candidates may instead get an AI-enabled round: a 60-minute session in a CoderPad environment with a built-in AI assistant, working through a larger real-world multi-file problem (fix a bug, build a feature, then optimize).
How to prepare: A second coding round focused on data structures and algorithms, occasionally paired with a lightweight system or product design discussion depending on the role.
